And then there were 5..and a closed highway

We picked up Shawn and Brownie in the MPI, just after crossing the Golden Gate bridge. Shawn took us on the dime tour of San Francisco, where we saw houses we could not afford, nice parks, golf course, art gallery and oceanside, before heading off on the Great Highway...we headed out to highway 1 intending to follow all the way. We ended up lunching in Big Sur, where we had to tuurn around and head back up as the highway was closed due to the fires. The good part of this was we got to drive the same section of twisty highway 1 again, the bad part is we added 60 plus miles to the trip and about an hour and a half. (lot's of traffic). We had an uneventful run down the 101..and arrived in Atascadero early afternoon..off to dinner and then back to the hotel, planning for the last day, through LA and into Irvine..see you tommorrow at MMW...Mike
