The Show and Shine

The Red Bull girls were on hand handing out samples..
The lunch truck...
The vendors..

Back at the hotel, the number of cars started to grow and by 10:00 the lot was filled and the cars were parking in the isles. So it was now feeling like a Mini Meet with all the cars and more vendors. The day started out cloudy, then got blistering hot, at least for us folks from Victoria. We spent the day wandering about the cars, and Linda and Terry were shopping the vendors. Richard spent time helping out Rick Higgs solve his turn signal problem, which died on his trip down. Rick ended up changing the turn signal switch and problem was solved. After the show, I changed the clutch arm and set the clutch back up and things feel better..we added the Moke 'trunk backon and headed off for a dip in the pool..dinner is on at 7:00 with the banquest, then off to a quick sllep and on the road early in the morning..to head up 395 and follow the interior route home..will keep the blog updated as we can find internet access along the way...Mike

Dear Dad and Mike,
I've just caught up with you blog and sounds like you are having a rare old time... loved the story of the funkama ... it sounded like when Gran used to drive over with her eyes shut! but at least you are in one piece.

Glad the trip is going well mechanically for you, and that the preparation was worth it (good work Mike) shame that the others havent all been so lucky, but hopefully you'll all be off again soon.

I finsihed work on friday, among some panic that the baby was coming, but it hasnt yet! and yesterday we made a BBQ over in oxford with my boss. he took simon for a spin in his Lotus Elise and now simon is looking up prices of them on EBAY... now sure how the baby seat will fit in... a more practical solution is the tax exempt triuph stag i have my eye on!! he he he

well happy moking, i hope to track you more closely next week now i am a lady of leisure.

Hope the ridiculous questions stop soon...

much love
christine (duaghter of Hat!)
(simon says hello too)

PS.
Dad are you going to come but with a serious caffiene habit? All you're writing about is Coffee and Red Bull :-) we'll know why they call the flight home the "red eye"
